Unit Price Calculator
Compare two products even when their labels use different weights, volumes, or pack sizes, and identify the lower cost per unit.
- Metric, US, and imperial units
- Seven currencies
- No data is submitted
Compare the cost of the same amount, not just the package price.
A larger package can cost more at checkout and still be the better value. Unit price divides price by quantity. When products use different units, this calculator first converts both quantities to the same base measurement and then displays both prices using Product A’s unit.
Unit price = Product price ÷ quantity after measurement conversion
Example: ounces versus pounds
Product A costs $12.99 for 16 oz. Product B costs $18.49 for 1.5 lb. Since 1.5 lb equals 24 oz, the calculator compares $12.99 ÷ 16 with $18.49 ÷ 24 and reports both prices per ounce.
Unit price calculator FAQ
Can I compare ounces with pounds?
Yes. Select ounces for one product and pounds for the other. Both are weight measurements, so the calculator converts them before comparing.
Can I compare grams with millilitres?
No reliable conversion exists without knowing the product’s density. Compare weight with weight, liquid volume with liquid volume, or counts with counts.
Is the cheapest unit price always the best choice?
Not always. Consider quality, expiry date, storage space, delivery fees, and whether you will use the full quantity. Unit price answers the cost question only.
