- Multiple discounts

Calculate a discount without treating stacked offers as one number.
A second percentage discount normally applies to the already-discounted price, not the original price. That means 20% off followed by another 10% off is an effective 28% discount, not 30%. The calculator applies the first discount, then the extra discount, then subtracts a fixed coupon before estimating sales tax.
Pre-tax price = Original price × (1 − first discount) × (1 − extra discount) − coupon
Example
Suppose a product costs $100, is 25% off, has an extra 10% discount, and accepts a $5 coupon. The price becomes $75 after the first discount, $67.50 after the extra discount, and $62.50 before tax. Your pre-tax saving is $37.50, which is an effective 37.5% discount.
Discount calculator FAQ
Is a second discount added to the first discount?
Usually no. Stacked percentage discounts are applied one after another. A 20% discount followed by 10% off produces a 28% effective discount.
Does the saving include sales tax?
The saving shown is based on the pre-tax price. The estimated final price includes tax when you enter a tax rate.
Can I use the calculator outside the United States?
Yes. Choose USD, CAD, GBP, EUR, AUD, NZD, or INR. The arithmetic is identical; the selected currency changes how results are displayed.
